Additional Path of the Assassin Information

Brad Thor's national best-selling debut, The Lions of Lucerne, was hailed as "high-voltage entertainment reminiscent of Robert Ludlum" (Literary Journal). Now, he again delivers a non-stop action as one man's quest for revenge thrusts him into a battle to save his country....

After rescuing the President from kidnappers, Navy SEAL turned Secret Service agent Scot Harvath shifts his attentions to rooting out, capturing, or killing all those responsible for the plot. As he prepares to close out his list, a bloody and twisted trail of clues points toward one man -- the world's most feared, most ruthless terrorist, Hashim Nidal. Having assembled an international league of Islamic terrorist networks in an ingenious plot to topple both Israel and America, Harvath and his CIA-led team must reach Nidal before it's too late. One problem remains -- they have no idea what the man looks like. With no alternative, Harvath is forced to recruit a civilian -- a woman who has survived a brutal hijacking and is now the only person who can positively identify their quarry.

From the burning deserts of North Africa to the winding streets of Rome, Harvath must brave a maelstrom of bloodshed and deception -- before a madman's twisted vision engulfs the world in the fires of all-out war....

What Customers Say About Path of the Assassin:

Like how the Secret Service really works. I was disappointed. It should not be too much to ask for an author to do a little research to get some basic facts right. Either way the book was not for me. If you like, the Bruce Willis type movie with preposterous and over the top events then you will like the book. If you prefer the more serious type thriller then you will be disappointed. If he purposely writes incorrect facts then he must be writing for teenagers.

He's that good. Harvath, former Naval SEAL and Secret Service agent, is pretty much on his own this time as he chases down a terrorist leader through North Africa, Europe and the United States. Brad Thor and his character Scott Harvath caught my attention a couple of years ago, and I have been working my way through the entire series. Path Of The Assassin is, in my opinion, the best yet. Author Dan Brown likes Thor's writing; so do Nelson DeMille, Vince Flynn, Newt Gingrich and Glenn Beck.

I couldn't recommend it to anyone, read a Dan Silva, Alex Bereson, John Grisham, or Harlan Coben; those are enjoyable talented writers. To me this book is like reading a LONG comic book or watching a cartoon. Save your time and money and get something else. If you like WWF you'll love this book. The main character Scott Harvath is so arrogant, over the top and annoying by mid way through the book I was hoping he'd get killed. Brad here just got drunk and started typing.

I was in one of my reading funks and NOTHING I started was holding on to me. For some reason I wasn't feeling it and I hate not having anything to read.

Exit reading funk.End of story. Thor.

Enter Mr. Exit book boredom.

I simply love reading Brad Thor and this was a "rescue" book for me. and these were authors that I love: Stephen King, K'wan, and Harry Sidebottom.

Enter escapist thriller.

This second installment of the Scot Harvath chronicle begins with a twist. An assassin with eyes that turn from black to silver is the only link.

All in all a great read and I am loving Scot more and more with each adventure. A woman executive from a successful Public Relations firm fights back during a hijacking gets the first look at the face of the suspected assassin and Scot is expected to recruit her in his search.

While being forced to work with a group of CIA operatives who want him to just go away Scot tries to find the answers. The twists keep coming right up until the end.

I came to the Brad Thor club late and am now going back to catch up on what I missed. The surviving members of the mercenary group The Lions of Lucerne are dieing before Harvath can get to them and find out who the money behind the kidnapping of the President was.

There is a little more than just hunting the bad guys going on here but it is subdued by the need to find the terrorists.
